We now offer Radiofrequency (RFA) ablation of the soft palate and tongue base for individuals that fail to tolerate CPAP or do not desire to use CPAP for obstructive sleep apnea. This CPAP alternative procedure is now being performed in the the office. Three to six RFA procedures may be necessary to improve snoring and sleep apnea. The treatment promises improvement in the severity of sleep apnea.
